The Synchro-Maids of Central Massachusetts are a competitive synchronized swim team,
with members of all ages and levels of ability. They have been competing, putting on shows,
and practicing at the YWCA in Worcester since 1967.
During the 2007-2008 season, the Synchro-Maids competed in a number of local New England Region and East Zone
meets, as well as national competitions such as Age Group Nationals. The team also
placed first overall at the 2008 Bay State Summer Games.
With such a rich history, one would think the Synchro-Maids have done and seen it all, but
2008 was a year of "firsts" for the forty-one year old team. On July 17th, three members
of the team traveled to Ohio to participate in the first ever New England Combo Team Routine
(composed of members of several local teams) and competed at U.S. Open Championships. In addition,
the team sent its first ever Masters (women aged 18 and above) Team, Trio, Duet and
Solo Routines to U.S. Masters Championships in Las Vegas. They placed 13th out of 40 teams overall
and their 20-29 Trio brought home a silver medal!
The 2008-2009 season has recently begun and the Synchro-Maids are actively
recruiting new members. Any women and girls age 6 and above who like to

Novice Synchro Team: Wednesdays 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Intermediate Team, 12&Under Age Group Team: Wednesdays 3:30-5:30 & Sundays 3:30-6:00
13-15 Age Group Team, Junior Team, Senior Team: Fridays 3:30-5:30 & Sundays 3:30-8:00 (Wednesdays optional)
Masters Team: Sundays 4:00-7:30, Mondays 6:30-9:00 & Thursdays 7:15-9:00 p.m. (All practices optional)
Beginner Classes
Beginner Synchro Class: Wednesdays 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Beginner Synchro Class: Sundays 10:00-11:00 a.m.
“Get in Synch” Class (for younger swimmers): Tuesdays 4:30-5:00 p.m. OR Saturdays 11:00-11:30 a.m.
